How We Work

The following outlines expectations for all technicians and engineers working with The Liam Corporation. Professionalism, clear communication, and a calm solutions-oriented approach are the standard on every call.

Call Times & Billable Hours

  • Arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to your call time to locate the correct space and identify your TLC crew lead.
  • Billable time does not begin until the actual client call time — not your personal arrival time.
  • Call times can change due to the nature of live production. It is your responsibility to maintain a reliable means of contact.
  • All expenses require a receipt. Receipts must be submitted in PDF format — no unconverted photos.

Day Rate & Billing Structure

Period Hours Rate
Regular Time Hours 1 – 10 1× base rate
Overtime (OT) Hours 11 – 15 1.5× base rate
Double Time (DT) Hour 16+ 2× base rate
Premium Hours 12:00 AM – 6:00 AM 2× base rate

If we break the hour by 15 minutes, the full hour is billed.

Short Turn & Turnaround Rules

  • A Short Turn occurs when there are fewer than 8 hours between the end of one shift and the start of the next.
  • Short Turn calls begin at OT rate. At 10 hours in, the rate advances to DT.
  • If your previous day ends during OT or DT and a Short Turn applies, the next day's call begins at DT rate until an 8-hour break has been provided.
  • Any hours worked between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM are automatically billed at Double Time.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancelled within 24 hours of your first call — TLC pays the equivalent of the first day's call duration.
  • Cancelled after work has begun but before project end — TLC pays the equivalent of the next day's call duration.
  • No cancellation fee applies in cases of misconduct, failure to perform, or removal for cause.

Attire

  • Setup, strike & rehearsals: Jeans, golf shirts, t-shirts, and sneakers are acceptable.
  • No clothing with offensive designs, inappropriate graphics, or other company logos — including your own.
  • Show days: Minimum of cotton pants and a button-down or polo shirt.
  • General sessions & meal functions: Coat and tie for men; dress slacks and blouse for women may be required. Confirm attire with the crew lead before each call.

Conduct & Professionalism

  • Smoking is permitted only in the facility's designated areas — never backstage or near equipment.
  • Non-solicitation: Do not solicit TLC employees, contractors, or clients on behalf of any other business, including your own, during your engagement.
  • Confidentiality: Do not reference, name, photograph, or post about any TLC event on social media without explicit written permission from a TLC representative or the client.
  • Defamatory, offensive, or derogatory content referencing clients or events is prohibited at all times.
